Problem: Defrag Run Stops With Error: Too Many Errors - Defrag Aborted

Solution:

This error is commonly seen when Kaspersky Antivirus and/or Kaspersky Internet Security are installed. To prevent this error from occurring and to successfully complete a defrag you will need to add DefragExpress to the Trusted Applications section of Kaspersky antivirus. To perform these steps:

1. Open the Kaspersky interface

2. Select Settings

3. Select Threats and Exclusions

4. Under Exclusions, select Settings

5. Select the Trusted Applications tab

6. Add DefragExpress to the list

DefragExpress should now function normally. It is possible that other antivirus programs may return the same error. In this instance look for a similar option of addding DefragExpress to a Trusted Program list.
