DefragExpress Presales FAQ1. Is DefragExpress Compatible With Windows 7?Absolutely! DefragExpress is fully compatible with ALL versions of the Windows operating system and all 32 bit and 64 bit versions. 2. I already have a free defragger as part of my XP/Vista/Win 7 operating system. Why should I use DefragExpress instead? Please go back and read the product description and that will tell you why but to further clarify.
3. I already use another defragger by another company. Why should I use DefragExpress instead?
4. I already use your "Power User" defragger - UltimateDefrag. Should I replace it with DefragExpress? That depends on what category of user you are. If you are a PC power user and want to squeeze every millisecond of performance from your hard drive by manipulating placement of files - then stick with UltimateDefrag. It is the only defragger in the world that gives you such control. If, on the other hand, you are an
average every day user and want a one-click defrag without the brain
strain, and at the same time using the cleverest and fastest day-to-day
defragger available, then use DefragExpress. 5. The Holy Grail Of Defrag Methods.... Really?Through the creation of our flagship product, UltimateDefrag, we have created literally hundreds of algorithms and ways to defrag a hard drive. There are countless combinations and permutations of how you can move and place files on the hard drive. We looked at all of the algorithms we developed and found one which does pretty much appear to be the holy grail of defragging algorithms. We can't go into details too much but rest assured that the method of defragging a hard drive that DefragExpress uses does do the main things we claim - optimally: Fastest Complete Consolidation & Defrag (just minutes) and slowest rate of re-fragmentation physically possible - pretty much a "holy grail". No other defragger comes close to achieving that and that includes those from companies who have been in the defrag game for 10+ years. If you want to get really scientific, let's go back to the word "entropy" you that saw on the main DefragExpress page. Entropy is the tendency of all systems in nature to tend from a state of order to disorder. Files on hard drives are highly subject to the processes of entropy. A state of order to disorder is the generally accepted definition of entropy however the more specifically true definition and principle behind entropy is the tendency of a system to arrange itself towards its most probabilistic state (when no counteracting energy is applied to that system). We simply looked at and answered the following when we devised our algorithm. What is, probabilistically, the most likely steady state in which the files on a hard drive should be placed that would require the least input of time and counteracting energy (the defrag process) on subsequent defrags? And that is how we came up with the DefragExpress defragmentation algorithm. And... it works! 6. If DefragExpress Is So Good Why Is It Priced So Low Compared To Other Defraggers? We're in the fortunate position of having 2 different defrag products - one for the power user (UltimateDefrag) and one for the everyday user (DefragExpress). We think for the feature sets in both products justify their appropriate pricing. Since our fully featured UltimateDefrag is priced at $29.95 (with more features than any other defragger in the world), under $15 is the fairest pricing for our everyday product for the masses through DefragExpress. When you stop and think about the "real value" that DefragExpress gives you compared with the other defraggers - none of which have a defrag method as intelligent as DefragExpress - you're getting much more times the value of other products. Isn't the objective of a company and a product to deliver more value for less to the consumer? That's what we're doing here.
